One of the greatest Hunter S. Thompson works was Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. One of my favorite scenes from the movie adaptation of the book is when Raoul Duke is in the hotel bar tripping on LSD and blurts out, very loudly, "tell me about the fucking golf shoes!"
